Leona Mars lives in a small community in the state of Oklahoma. She is married and they have three sons. Family is very important to Mrs. Mars. “We have instilled in our sons that support for each other is very important. My favorite time of the year are the holidays. Everyone is home and no one is rushing off to meet a schedule,” says Mrs. Mars.

Leona began writing poetry in 1998. Since she was no longer employed and had time on her hands, she began to satisfy the inner yearnings of writing poetry. “It is something I have always wanted to do,” says Mrs. Mars. You will soon notice that her poems are based on nature and her Christian faith.
