Distant horizons foretells an imminent storm,
Quickly approaching;
Boastfully proclaiming its existence,
That resounds throughout the heavens.
The arrival endorses its arrogance,
Epitomized by flashes of lightening;
Emits winds that stoops the trees.
It divulges turmoil within the land.
I am not distressed by the invasion.
I go to a sanctuary not made with hands,
Where joy is my companion;
Peace dwells within this secure realm.
The storm passes with swiftness,
Leaving affirmation of its visit.
Pain, sorrow, death, and confusion,
Infuses the aftermath of the tempest.
Yet, I am not a victim of the storm.
The Lord sustained me; made me strong.
His word is perfect and He is my rock.
