The Soldier

I see a soldier standing tall.

He is a sentinel for all.

He is a father’s daughter or son,

A mother’s precious one.

He is black, white, yellow and brown.

Taking a stand, holding his ground.

A combatant for you and me,

Fighting the enemy;

Defending liberty.
